Hey Folks!
I may be buying a '95 Rio Grande with 95000 miles on it. Has upgraded stock wheels, Hardtop and soft top.
It needs: Spare tire carrier,,Hardtop rear window,,and a tail gate. It rolled down the guys driveway into the front corner of his Explorer.
As far as mods go, it's totally stock.
It has had a lot of maintainance items done though (clutch, brakes, tune up, etc).
It comes with a plow setup that has only been used by the owner in his own lengthy driveway and a couple of the neighbors driveways.
He wants $3500--$4000 for it.
Here's what I want to do, please tell me if you think this is a bad idea.
The price seems good, so I'd like to buy it, fix the damaged parts with used parts.
Then I'd like to lift it enough to put 33s on it and just enjoy it as a weekend toy and maybe make a couple extra bucks plowing in the winter.
I've been lurking on the site for a while now and don't know which lift to go with. Could you guys/gals give me your recomendations?
I plan on going with BFG A/T as I've had good luck with them in the past and some plain black (cheap) rims.
Sorry for the long first post.
I'm very impressed at this site. Everyone treats each other with respect. Just as it should be.
Thanks!
Rob
