ADDING POWER DRIVERS SEAT

I WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE A POWER DRIVER SEAT FROM A JUNK YARD AND PUT IT IN MY 2001 CHEROKEE. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE POWER LINE IS THERE UNDER THE CARPET OR NOT? IF NOT WHERE IS EASIEST PLACE TO TAP IN FOR POWER?

YOu know I'm not sure but I thought mine had it prewired for power seats cause it was and option on my model. I have a 2001 60th anv. eddition and the carpet under the seat has a slit in it, and I thought the cord was hanging out of that let me go check.

ok the cut out is there it's strange just a oval part of the carpet with a x cut in the middle of that and it folds back but from as much as I can see of it there is no power cord there. I would guess you could run a power source to it. It's not that far from the dash it could run from inbetween the console in the middle. I think there are power wires down under that.
