GM 2.8+2wdXJ+Peougot 5spd=YUK any out there?

Has anyone out there know how to find out if this combo was built? I know everyone builds a Cherokee in their head from the "best" factory stuff. I started thinking of the "worst" factory stuff. If this XJ exists I say we buy it from the guy who owns it, destroy it, and never speak of this terror again!

Well lets see the GM 2.8L V6 - 115 hp @ 4800 rpm, 145 ft lb @ 2400 rpm - used in 84-86 Then you have the BA10/5 - 5 speed manual - manufactured by Peugot - used only up to 89

So then there is no count on how many were 2wd at that time so lets take the 84 thru 86 and that gives us 320,879 XJ's that were built between that time frame. I would say no they never made this but you never ever know. They might have had said the same thing about it scrapped it killed the guy that came up with this idea and never talked about it again tell you mentiond it.

I would be carefull If I were you they could be coming for you now.

I the guy is driving a Cherokee like we are talking about, I'll hear the rod about to come through the block of the 2.8. LOL. It definately be an odd duck if it does exist.
