They will do exactly what they are doing now. They will still kill each other with roadside bombs, rocket attacks, tortue chambers etc. The minute our troops leave there will be an internal religous war and they will be right back to where they were with Saddam. Never in the history of man has there been a democracy in the arab nations. Their religous beliefs don't allow it. There is only one answer to any problem and thats death and violence. I say leave them to their camels and goats.

Leave them alone, as poppy said it will go back to the way it was. Its not worth american lives and the money that the government is dumping into us being there. Just my :2cent:

My my...

OK, here's the deal. It's absolutely correct that given the current security situation in Iraq, if US troops pulled out now (or any time very soon) there would be another Saddam or something close to it.

HOWEVER - The Iraqis I talked to about all this said that they want to build their country into something resembling Lebanon, which, although not like ours, is a democracy of sorts. I believe that, given time and the right support, Iraq can and will pull itself out of its present mess. Once they have established a real government, that is.

As for it not being worth American lives - that's a touchy one. I think it is, because true stability in Iraq would be a serious blow to the cause or terrorism and to its ability to fester. As we all know, terrorism needs a failed and unstable state in which to grow, just like mosquitos need stagnant water.

Well, you did ask for it :)

Now I know that this is a touchy subject for everyone but, THIS IS THE JOKE FORUM! I am glad my comic can get peoples emotions stirred up but I just hope you can laugh at it too. Any constructive criticism about my artwork is appreciated as well. Thanks for reading it.

Wow, have you ever heard of Turkey, how about Lebanon. Islamic countries with Republic goverments. Oh, just so you know, we don't have a democratic goverment, we have a Constitutional Republic. A democratic form of goverment is also known as mob rule. IE, what ever the majority wants to do at the time. I agree with Scruffy, us that have recently gotten back from there probable know what the comman Iraqies want more than anyone. My platoon went to Iraq with 27 men and came back with 21, and yes I will go back if the Army sends me. This is the right thing to do. We need to get Iraq stabalized so it is not a breeding ground for terrorist. We also need a true Arab country in the reagion that is a real alia with the U.S. I went, and would go again so my children don't have to. To do whatever it takes to keep terrorist out of my country. No war is ever worth the lifes it cost, on either side. However sometimes there is no choice. Before anyone takes offense this is not directed souley at you poppy, but to all the naysaers who havn't been there. As far as the cartoon, I thought it was hilarious. I really hope to see something like that in Iraq one day. Could imagine what would have happened to Iraqies five years ago if they carried around a sign that said "No new Taxes". Remember the protest in China. :rantoff:
I warned you at the top.:tapedshu:

Point noted Scruffy and Cruz and i do feel that IF, and i do mean IF, they can establish a credible government of some sort, it would benifit many country's and civilized nations all around the world. Thanks for doing what you do in the military. With out people like you we would be in a "World of S#!t" (image of the crazy fat dude in full metal jacket right before he blows his head off..... great movie). I tried to go military, they DQ'd me because of child hood asthma. Now i get paid to chase or local terrorist known as gangbangers. Too bad we cant bring military action on those worhthless pices fo s#!t........ Dont get me started on that.

Pandora, keep the comics comings, definately have some talent in that field.
