:hi: I need some advice, I purchsed my 94 xj with a 3" lift already installed Wich is really cool.Saves me a lot of time and money.
My friend and I we're checking out the flex and discovered the orginal shocks had been put back on the xj. I have asked around as to what shocks would be best and have been told so many that I am really confused. I'm a novice fourwheeler just learing I love offroading, nothing like rock crawling some day maybe I do some mud bogging and playing out in the hills. I have been told the lift is a Rancho. Some of my friends don't have faith that I will figure this out be cause I am a female  So any help you can give would be greatly appreicated :)

What is your price range. One I would stay away from procomps and ranchos. I've never been a big fan of the ranchos and haven't heard good things about theprocomps.
The ranchos used to be more of a truck ruff riding offroading shock. which is ok if thats what your going to be doing alot of but it doesn't sound like it that much. Then the procomp line was sapposed ot be ranchos higher quality shock for on and off road use. however the people I know that use them hate them. still a rough riding shock and they don't last that long.

doetsch shocks I've heard nothing but good stuff about them but they are pricey.

I have OME shocks and I think they are about the best onroad offroad shock that I have driven on.

The highest priced schocks that I have looked at went for about $90.00 apice and thoughs were edlebrocks. for now that is about all I can affored. I just finished paying off my xj so I am now trying to get paid up on other bills  What price range are the OME schocks? sounds like they are more of what I am looking for, and where can I get them?
Thank you for all your help. And all the great info that I have recived from Cherokee Forum. :)

call dirk at DPG (316)776-9900 he is outta KS but gets his stuff dropshiped and his shipping is cheap see what he can do for you. I paid 85 total to upgrade the ones that came with my lift. I'm not sure how much they sale for apice but I'm sure he will get you a better deal than 90 apice and there a better shock than edlebrocks.

I don't know anyone with the skyjacker kit, so I couldn't really comment on them. Well ok one little comment. I haven't heard many bad things about them other than the price of the lifts.

Thank you for the help and the phone # I will giving them a call as soon as I get my tax refund ;) As for skyjacker I also own 78 Dodge pick up  which I am trying to sell. It as a 4" skyjacker soft ride suspension lift. It is not a very soft ride I think it is worse then it was befor I put the lift on it :x So I am staying away from skyjacker.

Could just be the shocks on the skyjacker that might be a bit stiff. Most lifts when you get them come with stiff shocks.
