I think my shocks/leafs are shot, as far as i can tell, they are stock from 89. and im just wondering how i would tell if they are shot or not. I know newbie question. but i have sooo much more life left in it. It needs some tlc, and thats all.

anythink that old I would expect them to be worn out a bit. it also depends on how much offroad it saw flexing and what not. It never hearts to get new ones. I don't know of any site or stats that would tell you what they should look like or what the messurments would be for them to sit at. I thought you were going to get a hole lift kit with new leaf packs.

I am, but im thinking of making one as i go. Or maybe just new rear leafs, and some new front springs and pucks. All i need to raise the front end is springs and shocks, so its not that hard. Just need to watch the $$$$ for a while

That would be the best way if money is an issue right now. new real leafs and springs will give you back your stock ride and lift. then with a BB spacers in the frount and blocks in the back unless you just get bigger shackels. then that would work.
