I have a '92 xj with a 4.0L and the 4-speed auto trans. Unfortunately, it seems to be 2wd. I have been calling around the scrap yards for a front diff, and a t-case. Some prices I have for the dana 30 are $250 if I pull it myself, and $450 if they do the dirty work. First off, are these fair prices? Second, which dana 30 do I want, the vacuum disconnect, or the non-vacuum disconnect? Third, will a t-case bolt to my trans, or will I have to get another one? And lastly, is it even feasible to try this project, or will it require to much custom fabbing? Thanks for any help. :g

I had a neighbor that convered his 2wd Suburban to a 4wd, and he said it was a pain. Lots of fabbing and scavaging scrap yards. As far as prices, depends on location, some areas are higher than others.
