yeah, but it seems not to be that simple, people with the same number of posts have different points, so there has to be something else or more involved in the counting... we'll figure that out :idea:

I didn't want to sound like an idiot, so I didn't ask last night. But seeing as how no one else seems to have a clue either, listen up. I checked out all the store options> We can use the points to customize our posts, glowing names, make our own sticky thread, etc. We can donate points to someone else, or steal points from someone to piss them off. If you check the richest members you'll see that TJMagoo and Ceejay have like 15000.00 points, leading me to belive they want us to try and steal from them(everyone else started with 150.00). I actually stole from some members who never post and donated to some who do. You can only steal an amount =/< the amount you have in your pocket . You can make deposits into the bank, I guess it's safe from thieves there(doesn't show up on avatar).

CAUTON!! If you are caught stealing(I don't know how that works) you will lose an amount equal to what you tried to steal PLUS 50.00!

I'm not trying to sound superior or anything, like I said I didn't have a clue so I looked around. :biggrin:

well i was just playin around with it, and i went to steal some points from someone that has not been here since the forum was redone in february and it said theft failed and it took 150 points off and 50 for reputation!!! i dont no what they are for but CRAP...im losing them already..haha

edit: kudzu69 is right, just a little feature to play around with. My guess is it may in the future be used to get a discount on orders or some type of prize, but that is pure speculation on my part.

Well, from over on JU (which is run by 4wd.com) it is in a test phase right now, but if and when implemented, it will be for goodies and such. Stay tuned for more info.

Yes, we are testing on JU and here. If it becomes a success, we will use it for goodies and cool stuff that you can use your points on.

I don't believe there is a correct, or incorrect, way to steal points from someone. I think it is just random as to wether or not your thievery is allowed. The moderators are learning right along with you guys, so we will need some time to gather how this all works. I guess they don't make a manual :egg:

Yeah the negative reactions outweighted the positives. It seemed to be more of a hit on JU then here, so we decided to take it down. Don't worry, we will be bringing in all kinds of fun mods to test out in the future.
