Front Crankshaft Seal

I have two halves of a front crankshaft seal from a Fel-pro kit. One half is marked

8 VG 49650 800093 install -->

and the ohter is marked

5 VG 49650 800093 install -->

The one with the 8 on it's outer lip is slightly thicker.

Which one goes on top.

My bad, the engine in question is a 59 4-134

Check the forum at Earlycj5.com. There are dozens of guys over there that have rebuilt the Hurricane 134 and should be able to answer your question.
