Im trying to shift a shift fork over manually. How do i do it. Does anyone even know what im talking about.

where is the shift fork located?

Its connected to the vaccum motor on my 89 cherokee. Right next to the pumpkin. I was talking to some guy at one of the Jeep Ski days, and he said that I could just switch over the fork, and I would 1, have a working 4wd, and 2, have a locked front axel. Living in New England, I could use the 4wd.
