General question...

Hey guys,
I have a general question:
I think about buying a ZJ Limited with the 5.2 liter. Are there any knows probs I should look at? I never had a ZJ before, only XJs and CJs...

I have a 94 5.2 and I love it. No real problems, other than basic maintenance(knock on wood). If it has alot of miles, I have heard that they tend to burn oil slowly. So you have to keep an eye on the oil, but other than that I have no negative problems or have I heard of any problems. If you check it out before you buy it you'll be fine. Know your stuff before you buy it and look it over really well.

definitely. good jeep. i've got a 95. my brother who used to be a mechanic did a bunch of research on the net before i got it. he said there were no major recalls and that all customer feedback was positive. i love mine more than anything

thanks for the advice, I am still looking for a ZJ and only did a closer look and test drive at two of them. But this will be my next car, I am so tired of the VW Vanagon I have as a company car... it's a great van, 150 horse diesel engine, runs a good 120 mph and needs no gas (a mpg of about 30-35) but just front wheel drive... so I am going to be me a ZJ and give the company car away...

The tatra I bought from the German Army. Those rigs went out of Service after the wall came down and gave them away ... mine just sat there for 30 years with 250 miles on it, the first real long run it had to go when I brought it home, 400 miles in one go. I slowly replace all rubber parts and the wiring but it is a blast and unstoppable ;o)

the specs on that tatra are insane. 100t towing? v12? WOW sounds like a monster. but the 95 zj is great. i love mine.

Yeah, the tatra IS a monster, it scares people to death :wall: but it's a lot of fun to drive... and hard work... you can really tow 100 tons with that thing. The V12 sounds like a thunderstorm on half throttle and like hell under full throttle...
