Speedometer problem.

Looking for ideas. The speedometer has gone nuts on me. 1995 Grand Cherokee 4.0l 4wd 176k. I replaced the speed sensor at the transfer case. That didn't help. The needle is bouncing all over. This causes the tranny to have fits. Anyone know how many sensors are involved in that circuit. I know the abs system has speed sensors are those involved? I am about to take it to an auto electric shop to have a look.

im pretty sure there are 2 speed sensors, the one you changed is probably mounted on the tranny. the other one controls shifting, computer commands, etc. where it is exactly i cant tell you but there are 2 of them.
