I am wondering if anyone has installed a performance chip into a stock Liberty 3.7? If so what kind? Did you notice a difference? Was it worth it? I have been looking around and i see lots of stuff on Ebay. Basically resisters that make your air temp sensor think it has cooler air coming in causing the fuel mixture to change giving you more power. Sounds to cheep and good to be true. I see chips like Jet for $260.00 and these things are $15.00 bucks. Any coments would be appreciated.
Thanks

Well as i understand it the jet chip does almost nothing for your car, so i would assume that these cheapies will do no more then the jet does.

The Jet chip DOES work and it works well ONLY if you have the appropriate mechanical mods for the chip to take advantage of.
Hypertech has the best as it allows you to taylor your setup. It is also the most costly.
If you are trying to get an MPG improvement in your vehcile, you are better off getting items like a K&N air filter and platnium type plugs. You can increase power at that point by using mandrel bent exhaust pipes and a flow through cat and muffler.
I've seen cheap items like the Tornado work in one vehicle and not another. These cheap products work in vehicles that have poor maintenance. If you keep your vehcile properly maintained, then MOST (there are a few that actually do work) of the cheapies are sucker sales.
