Bought this just Friday. It is my first Jeep and out of 15 or so vehicles I have owned.. it is so far the funnest to drive. Even if it is just to go get a paper. It is a stock TJ with the I4 and 5speed. More pics to follow as we are in a mega ice strom here in Texas and I haven't been able to put the new tires I got on her yet.
** 8) Bought on Friday, pushed a stuck on ice 4x4 Land Cruiser on Monday  **

Nice Jeep. I like the desert sand color. What kind of mods are you thinking about doing first?
Welcome to the board too! ;)

Thanks, and I like the color as well... First I plan on a 2" lift and will mount the bigger tires (32x10s) I would go bigger on the tires, but I struck a deal with the dealer to throw the 32x10s in as the front tires that came with the jeep do not match the rear nor the spare. Next on the mod list I would say would be a bikini top and dust cover so I can have a lil sun protection while being topless here in Texas.
After that who knows.. I will problably go for a suspension flex kit, winch, and whatever else the wife will let me get. I think I will start a Jeep fund in a savings account that the ol' lady don't know about so I can buy buy buy
To jeepinggoat; thanks for the reply and you will see some posts from me 8)

Nice Jeep! Good luck!
I just purchased my first also, (see my post) and I'm hooked! I really like that color. I've got the 4 also, but in a soft top....
Good luck! :g

Thanks JeepKreep, I looked at your ride and she is a nice one!! Mine is an SE model as well and for all the same purposes as why you got yours.. so we can fix it as we want it.. ;)
Oh.. and mine is a soft top too, but may invest in a hard top just before next winter. :D

A Hard Top will come in handy when you got 200 + lbs of ice on roof, and if journeying into the city and parking and being able to come back to the Jeep and stereo is still in place ;)
I'm all about open air riding, but when the heater only pushed about 2 CFM of warm air and it is 20 degrees out side. I think I will stick with the hardtop.

I hear ya. I live in Texas and the weather doesn't get tooo cold too often. We did have that ice/snow storm last week that closed Fort Hood (I work on base as a civilian now). Tho it was 14 degrees with windchill, my Jeep was nice and toasty even with the soft top on, I am sure that with a hard top it will warm up een faster inside.. I am going to surf around to find one at a bargain price.. I do want one, but not at $1000 - $1400. I mainly would like one for the security when I do venture up to Dallas or San Antonio on business and have to leave Jeep in the parkling lot or at an airport for security reasons, but I also think it adds a different look to a Jeep that will in a sense make it so you have 2 vehicles :D
I just wish the weather would brighten up here some (been cloudy and rainy since I bought the Jeep) so I can take some pics my pride and joy and so I can also drive around topless

I have both. Soft top and hard top and I love them both!!! Hard top = winter (awesome) and soft top (or not top) = spring/summer (just as awesome).
I say, go for the hard top. You won't be sorry.

I got to tell ya, the soft top is really warm. i guess it's cause the top is new and tight still, but the damn thing gets so hot I have to turn it down or open the window.
Here in NJ, the temp. has been about 20* for the last month with 34" inches of snow with the last storm and a new 8" last night :bang:
I will admit I'm really aware of the weight of the snow on the top and am almost obsessive 'bout gittin' the snow off it.
Security is an issue, I've got Lojack and an alarm, but if they want it, they'll git it! :x Round here though, a Jeep's a "poor mans ride" compared to the SNOOTY SUPER-MOM Lexus' and Acura's... They get ripped off more than the Jeepsters!

Thanks LeadFoot.. I have not done any outside mods yet, but I have upgraded the entire sound system to include replacing the speakers in soundbar and dash. Next thing I do will have to be cheep until I secretly save money that wife dont know of hehe. But most of our money goes towards my 6 yr old whom is Autistic.
Oh.. as far as the TSLs... I do accept donations

Ohh.. the dealership did put a set of new BFG "Long Trail" 235x75R15 T/As on the Jeep last week. Was part of the deal I made.. they do make the Jeep sit higher then the stock 205x75s.

Well.. got a new pic to post.. shows my Lil TJ along side of my 86 Suburban. The "Burb" has a custom built LTK 400 Big Block with a 700 Tranny, I use it to pull my 19ft. Bayliner. Can't wait to put some money into the Jeep ;)
Please note that the drivers door looks dented.. but that is jsut the reflection of my wife's mini-van wheel

I bet, just like me, You can't wait to get rid of those cheesy factory rims!
You gonna go with the the black rimmed look or go aluminum?? I'm copying Magoo.....Her rims look great! [black] with real tires!

Yeah.. I have been thinking on wheel color.. I do think that with my desert pearl paint and the black top and fender flares, black would look nice. :yum Maybe I will paint the factory ones black until I get permission from Household 6 to buy the ones I want.... :brows: hmmm
Oh.. and JeepKreep, I don't necessarily agree with whats on your signature.. stock Jeeps are not so boring to me :D
