Tire Pressure gage light

Last week my Tire Pressure gage light came on. Stopped by a tire place and they checked my tire pressure. The light went out. Now 3 days later the light will flash like 9 times and stay out. It happens like every 20 minutes. Does anyone know what this problem might be?

I have a 2005 KJ Renegade with the same problem, but after several days of the light bliking it stay on. Took it to the dealership twice now, each time they say they can't find anything wrong. They also checked the tries and valves for leaks and again they say all is fine. Then they say that someone must be letting the air out of my tries. BS :furious3: the darn thing is kept in a garage!
I too would like to know what's up with the tire pressure light.

hm, sounds too good...
over here the tire pressure thing isn't sold very often and the dealer try to talk people out of it since the failure quote seams to be high... I think they update the system here and it works fine but comes on again later. as far as I know only standard tires have that prob here, haven't heard of mods failing in that way...

It is possible that the valve stems are not leaking, but the transmitter thingy that monitors the pressure is failing. That may be something that can be found or not untill it fails completely. There is a way that you can recalibrate the system, try that and see if that makes the light go out, esp if the pressure is good in the tires. Just my :2cent:.

Friends pressure light came on due to low air pressue, dealer set to correct pressure, but like a lot of the new vehicles, the computer has to be reset. Also, in the cold areas, until the tires heat up, the light may come on but shut upon restart of the vehicle.

Annoying and concerning because your not sure if your getting a flat or it is the "modern tech"
