  • Brake push rod

Can anyone give me the dimensions for the push rod between the brake pedal and master cylinder for a 72-76 CJ 5 or 7 with manual brakes? I think mine is too short. Thanks. 2nd master cylinder in 6 months. Jeep is just sitting there not being driven on these nice spring days.

I got a er several junk rebuilt one's from advance, and the last one the rod was about 1 inch too short. I don't know if anyone make an adjustable rod but I'm looking for one for mine. Mine is a 76' Seven. I bought a 79' master cyl for disc's with out power.

check out tri county gear. about halfway down that page is an adjustable brake rod. using their instructions, you can also redrill the booster bracket & stuff and get better braking by giving the pedal more leverage on the booster.

      that rod is $40, btw.
