  • Chevy 10 bolt shafts

So I am resolved to the fact that I am going to have to make a "fordrolet" out of the front axle on my jeep in order to do the high steer linkage, but I got to thinking late the other night that If I have to use chevy knuckles, spindles calipers etc. then I will have 3/4 of the parts neccesary to run dana 44 axle shafts in my dana 30 housing (just missing an ARB and the shafts themselves).

I have a complete 10 bolt chevy axle (front) and I was wondering if the inner axle shafts are the same as a D44? (I know the 10 bolt is really close to a D44 anyway) If so, I have a machinist that will shorten them for my Jeep and I will spend the $$ on an ARB for the front. The end result is a D30 with D44 shafts, large u-joints, ARB and high steer! not too shabby!
