  • Weber Carb

Hey everyone - just got my jeep back from the shop today... new center force clutch and some transmission work. They told me I need to replace my carb. My question is... if i replace with a Weber carb now (i have a 258 inline 6), when I get a V8 put in next year or so, will i also have to replace the carb again for the bigger engine? Just don't want to have to buy more than i need to. Thanks!

    Webber carb

Webbers are nice on the 258, but they don't fit the V-8s. On the flip side, everyone that I have ever talked to about the Webbers say they are the best thing you can do for your 258 short of fuel injection. If you do the Webber, you may not want to put in the 8.

If you buy the Webber, and still put in the 8 you would stand a good chance of making back most of your investment if you sold it on ebay, or if you just posted it here in the forum.

What's the fascination with going to a V-8? Besides low gas mileage...
      Stick with a 258 and a Weber...
