  • Eye Bolt Bushing Preference?

I'm fixing a 1984 Jeep CJ-7, and am currently in the process of putting the 2" 4wd lift kit on. However, I've noticed that I have 2 sets of bushings for the eye bolts. One set came with the lift kit and are just plain rubber bushings, and the second set were ordered from this site (SKU 52002551), and is actually a rubber bushing nestled inside a metal cylinder. My only question is which set of bushings I should use. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

Oh, and I also have two sets of bushings for the shackles, one red and one black. Is there any difference in performance between the two?

are you sure they are both rubber, or are the ones NOT in the metal sleeve polyurethane?

i would use the poly ones then. they are much firmer than the rubber and will outlast them too

i would also recommend that you go to a hardware store and get a greasable bolt to put in the bushings.
