Has any of you had any experience with these folks before ? http://carburetorexchange.com/plp/se...n_model_id=403 Thinking about getting a carb from them and was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them.

No experience with that company, but just by reading their intro page I know I would never buy from them. No-one in their right mind would bead blast a carburetor and expect it to work after that.

Bead blasting can remove some of the surface metal, especially on soft aluminum castings found in carbs. There is just too much risk of ruining a sealing flange or worse yet a fuel or air passage.

The site says it blasts the casting....not the interior components and passages......

Looks like they know what they are doing to me....

There really isn't a whole lot of area that you can safely bead blast on a carb, all it takes is a few stray beads and the gasket surface is toast. Chemical cleaning I can handle, maybe even vibration cleaning (similar to a tumbler) but bead blasting makes me nervous!
