  • Anybody have grill/hood/fender dimensions for YJ & CJ?

Anybody have these dimensions off the top of their head?

I need to put my CJ grill & hood on my YJ, but I don't have any CJ fenders, so I'm hoping to be able to bend, cut, beat my YJ fenders onto my CJ grill.

Basically, I need to turn this:

    into this (bad photoshop):

I don't think you will have too much of a problem as I have seen CJ's with YJ fenders. Thought of it myself as I like the lines better; tho it is subtle...but thats the point.

Hey, if you want PM me I have an extra set of fenders I can measure. Oh hood too. Grills are buried deep under a bunch of parts.

Thanks guys. I think I've got all the info I need.

I had a guy who's put the YJ fenders on a CJ grill tell me that they taper in about an inch or so toward the front, and that I'll just have to trim the inner fenders a bit.

Here's an after pic. I used only the CJ hood, grill, and grill support rods. Radiator, fenders & wiring are from the YJ. It wasn't the easiest swap, but definately possible.

...that looks GREAT, Evil. Did you knock that rear wheel off beatin' and bangin' on it?

Yep, I hit a rock so hard the axles popped out of the ends and the carrier fell out the back.

That does look good, now if only you could get the pumpkin on the correct side.
