    ok read post on guage testing.where is ground provided to the guages?My post on the back of the cluster are not marked.I have the red and pink on the fuel guage but no black.Dose any one have a pic to post?thanks

    It grounds directly to the dash. There is a power wire and a link to the temp gauge. The fuel and temp gauge are connected with a common power.

      Right, they ground through the speedometer housing wich is attached to the dash. There is a black grounf wire on one of the studs. This is a ground for something else, this does not ground the dash. The dash should be grounded to the tub and the tub to the battery.

        Unless you have a glass tub, then ground to battery.

          Will the jeep guage work with a non jeep sender. I replaced the tank with a bigger one and it came with a sender in it???

            If it has the same resistance range

            Empty = 73 ohms
            1/2 Tank = 23 ohms
            Full tank = 10 ohms
