does anybody know where the return spring hooks to for the clutch return spring? Not the fork end, but the other end. I took a little four day brake and now i dont remember. maybe too many budwiesers when i was taking it apart........

On my 84 the spring runs from the upper pedal toward the driver and hooks to a tin bracket behind the dash about straight up from the pedal pad. Look for a hole in the bracket. Don't know if yours will be the same as mine is a 258. DP

If you are talking about the spring down by the tranny there is a place on the bell hsg where your linkage bolts to it. Mine broke so I just used a flat piece of steel and drilled a couple holes and bolted it on where your linkage bolts to the hsg and hooked the spring to it.

makes sense to me...the thing that i questioned was that if it hooks there, it will be crossing under the adjuster rod...right? im sure as long as it is hooked to something it will be okay, but i was just curious. thanks
