  • more beef

I have a very strong running 258, but am thinking of getting more beef out of it. So far all bolt on stuff only, Clifford Performance header & intake manifold, MC2100 and duel exhaust. I guess it would have to be a cam. I'm not a heavy off roader and it's not a D.D. but what would you do next? I don't know anything about cam sizes either.

I'd contact Clifford for your cam along with the intake.

      Hmm, more beef?

It is by no means bolt on, but how about the 258 crank in the 4.0L motor. 4.7L stroker I believe its called.

You could also think FI as the Mopar kit is known to increase performance. TBI kits are also good at about 1/2 the price of the Mopar kit.

I put an RV cam in an engine once, and I can't recommend them, just my opinion though. I like a nice smooth idle.

As far as bolt ons are concerned, don't overlook the MSD ignition box. I have heard good things about the 6AL.
