  • Sae to Metric O-ring Steering Box Conversion

I am changing a sae hose conection steering box with a meteric o-ring hose connection type. Does anyone have a good idea on how to make the conversion. the low pressure power steering hose is not a problem because I can buy a new metric hose and use a hose clamp on the pump end. The high pressure hose will have to be sae by metric.

Go to your local hydraulic distributor and have them custom make you a hose, any fitting you want on either end.

I did the same thing when I replaced my engine. Some napa auto stores used to have that capabilty as well

          Fitting Change

The local napa store does not make or modify power steering hoses.
I did't know the pump fitting could be changed. That is worth investigating.
          Thanks.

Yep, just unsrew the insert. The part the hose threads into.
