  • AX15 Owners Please Read. Fluid.

    I was reading thru the catalogs and computers at my previous job. Under Trans fluid for the AX15 it lists to use GL5 80w90. Then in the other manual it said use GL4. Then it expained that GL5 has a high level of sulfur that can damage and cause premature wear to the Syncros. So I been using Pennzoil SyncroMesh and it shifts 100X better.

    Thought I let you know that DC updated the fluid type.

    I wonder who explained this long ago on here; and suggested to change to Pennzoil and WHY?

      I know Syncromesh works wonders and I had a 5 gallon tub of it so thats why I use Pennzoil.

          the whole purpose of synchromesh is that it has all the sulfur filtered out, says so right on the bottle...

          and yes, shifting is delicious
