  • Fuel Pump

ok so i dropped the tank, because i think the darn gas station put diesel in the gas. so i dropped the tank and drained it, and figured that i might as well change out the fuel pump since it's never been changed and i have about 160,000 miles on that pump.

the question i have is whats should be the psi of the pump when operating, because this new pump has max at 125 but no operating?????

factory specs on fuel test port are like 38 - 45 psi with the vac line off the fuel regulator

      mpi system pressure at idle
      vacuum hose connected 31psi
      vacuum hose disconnected 39psi
      fuel pump factory 108 in-lbs
1997 and later models 44 to 54 psi depending on engine code us or can and size 2.5 to 4.0 (53.7psi)
mpi fuel systems employ a vacuum assist regulator which should be about 8-10 psi higher with the vacuum line attached to the regulator than with it disconnected.when servicing it dont forget the check valve
